Top 10 firm BDO has promoted a record number of 1,110 people across the firm’s tax, audit, advisory and support functions.

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, commented: “The promotions highlight the depth and breadth of talent we have at BDO. Developments in technology continue to push the boundaries of the traditional accountancy profession, however it’s the ability of our people to adapt, innovate and provide commercial insight to clients that underpins our success.”

“Celebrating promotions for almost a third of our business is a true testament to the hard work and talent within the firm.”

BDO also appointed a new partner last month, and 24 others in the past financial year.

The firm has launched a new internal wellbeing strategy emphasising the importance of mental health, as well as a new personal development framework designed to empower employees to steer their learning and development within the firm.

Paul Eagland added: “Having happy, healthy people is the most important thing. Our vision is to create a positive working environment and a way of working where people can thrive and bring their best self to work each day.”
