Niall Wass, who took over from co-founder Errol Damelin in November, will leave in next few weeks to take up new role

The boss of Wonga has quit the payday lender, which charges interest at 5,853% APR, just six months after taking over from co-founder Errol Damelin.

The company said Niall Wass, who was appointed chief executive in November 2013, will “leave the business in the next few weeks to take a position at another company”.
