Responding to T: Improving the financial health of the nation, Graham Peacop, Managing Director of The UK Cards Association said:

“We were delighted to have been able to contribute to this important debate and provide evidence from the perspective of the card payments industry. We hope to see a number of the Commission’s recommendations feature in party manifestoes as we approach the General Election. In particular, we strongly advocate the call for Government to enable the use of a wider range of data in credit scoring to make access to financial services easier for excluded groups. Access to credit is an integral part of financial inclusion, and the card payment industry has a long standing commitment to ensure that lending is transparent and responsible.”
